Here's a tough one

In a criminal justice system, it would be preferable for you to:

• convict an innocent person.
• let a guilty person go free.

If you let a guilty person go free.. say a rapist.. think of how many women/girls he/she will end up raping
Say it's a murderer.. think of how many families are going to lose their mum/dad/wife/husband/children/brother/sister/friends/grandpa/grandma/etc
What if.. those people raped or killed is someone that you know?

But.. won't you feel guilty for the rest of your life for sending someone innocent to a prison, confined in a small cell, for a very very very long time?
Would you be able to sleep at night?
What if.. you are that 'innocent person'?

P.S. The answer can't be 'neither'
Or 'I choose the 2nd option given that we'll catch the bad guys again in less than 24 hours'
Just keep it simple
Think about it.. there's no right or wrong answer
