One Day
What a day... I've experienced something terrible, sumtin funny, sumtin weird, sumtin good, all nicely packed in 1 day
Watched 'Madagascar' today at Crown... Since I've practically watched everything that's on at the cinemas right now. Except for 'Herbie, Fully Loaded' which I'm not gonna watch... Absolutely not
Madagascar was actually good, it was funnier and the story line is actually better than what I had expected it would be like. So $5.75 Tuesday price was quite worth it.
Then, when me and D was on the escalator (going down), I saw a guy on the other side of the escalator (going up of course) and he was looking towards his back. So I saw his face from the side and thought this guy looked a lot like my teacher. Then.. just after I told D bout this, the guy turned his head, facing the front, and looked at me whilst we were passing each other on the escalators. I looked at him, he looked at me for about 3 seconds, then I realised he was my teacher after all. I mean.. not my teacher.. he has never taught me in any of my subjects, but he's one of the teacher in my school. And I think he recognised that I'm one of the students from the school that he's teaching at. Anyway.. then I looked at the girl standing beside him, then I realised she's my teacher. This time she's really my teacher coz she's in charged of sport at my school and is actually the co-ordinator of badminton. Anyway, I've known for a long time, well the school have known for a long time that they're going out. But I've actually wondered whether they're still going out coz I think it has been a year.. or bit less than that. Now I've got the answer... Didn't recognise her.. She was wearing glasses, a different one than the one she sometimes wear at school. Luckily she didn't see me. So I don't have to do that 'hi, how r u' crap which I hate doing.
Anyway, moving on... Then me & D went to Hungry Jack's. I ordered small grilled chicken meal, and D ordered a whopper meal. But she didn't want the vegies & the pickles... so she told the girl who was serving us at the cashier. Anyway, I'm not being mean or anything, but her English was quite poor. She didn't understand what we were talking about when D told her she didn't want any vegies or pickles on her burger. She had to repeat 3 times before she got the don't-want-pickles part. But then she didn't get the don't-want-vegies part. Then D said "I don't want any vegies... vegie..." She still didn't get it! She looked at us and said "What does that mean?" Then D had sort of given up and looked at me for some help. Then I told the girl / woman.. I dunno.. I think she's still in uni.. maybe... D thinks that she's indo (from her name) but I reckon she's chinese (from her accent and the way she speaks english).. Anyway.. I told her... slowly and clearly... "She doesn't want and Ve-Gies, u know.. Ve-ge-ta-bles ??? Lettuce... mm.. onions... u know.. the green stuff?"
And thennnn.. she said.. "oooh.. ok ok.. no pickles & lettuce" - She only got the don't-want-lettuce part, but not the vegies part... *sigh* Then me and D gave up.. and said 'yeah... yeah'. Then we waited for the burger... coz of course they had to make a special one. Then when D opened it, there's no lettuce alright... But there were pickles, onions, tomato, etc, etc.
I mean.. how frustrating was that???
Talk about frustrating... This happened earlier during the day. I went to HSBC atm to check my available balance, coz I had just transferred money from Comwealth and wanted to see if it has actually gone through the system. Long story short, my card was retained coz I entered the wrong pin number. Then I went to the bank, and try to sort out the problem. I got a trainee instead of an experienced one. She got my license for my id, then entered my full name in. Then she asked me whether the account was under my name. I told her I wasn't sure, coz back then I was still under 16 and I needed a guardian for signing up. So it might be under my name but can also be under my bro's or my dad's name. And she told me she couldn't find an account under my name, and asked whether it's under my bro or my dad's name. And I told her I wasn't sure.. But it's gotta be one of them. Then she told me to go home, look for my account number, and find out under which name was the account made. And there I was, thinking, why couldn't she try entering both names.. I mean.. one of them has got to come up on the screen and it'll be mine... But I couldn't be bothered asking her... so I went out... Anyway.. she told me that if it's under my bro / dad's name, then I gotta bring them with me to get a new card.
So I called my brother on my way to the cinemas.. and asked for my account number, and asked whether it's under his name. And he told me it's actually under MY OWN name... What the heck was that girl doing??? Day dreaming??? She couldn't freakin find my account on her database although I've given her my license, which by the way, has the correct spelling of my name!
Now on Thursday, I've gotta go all the way to the city again, by myself, to sort out this problem. And I'm making sure that I don't get a freakin trainee to freakin help me with my freakin problem... Damn trainees... Luckily I do need to go to the city to get photos which I printed out just now. Otherwise I'll be so damn pissed that I need to go there just to get a new card
Hm.. I think this is long enough.. I'll try to write more during the holidays since I haven't been writing much lately
